Refugee Week
2021
We cannot walk alone
Refugee Week 2021 begins on Monday 14 June, a national festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. This year's theme is ‘We cannot walk alone," inspired by the Revd Dr Martin Luther King’s I have a Dream speech.
Join us daily online at 12 noon as we mark this important week. You can download the order of service at this link.
A Week of Prayer and Witness
At Great St Mary's, we'll be offering online Midday Prayer at 12 noon every day of Refugee Week, 14 – 20 June, with short testimonies from those who have been refugees and migrants, or those who work alongside refugees in the UK. Very many thanks to Andrew Day for putting these services together.
So do join us from Monday for these special online prayers, and look out in Cambridge for our posters.
There are a number of inspiring and simple activities for use during Refugee Week, which may be found at refugeeweek.org.uk/simple-acts Simple Acts are everyday actions we can all do to stand with refugees and make new connections in our communities.
